JOB SUMMARY
To oversee the supervision of Control Room duties within the Estate Control Centre (ECC), ensuring effective control and coordination of operations with a proactive approach to security monitoring, incident response, and team leadership. This includes managing resources, maintaining situational awareness, and ensuring clear communication between teams, agencies, and stakeholders.
The role upholds operational standards, fosters a high-performing team culture, and supports staff development to maintain consistency and excellence across all shifts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Control & Incident Management
* Maintain oversight of ECC operations, ensuring a proactive approach to security monitoring, CCTV operation, and incident management.
* Ensure staff adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Assignment Instructions (AIs), and Emergency Procedures.
* Monitor and assist in the operation of technical systems for incident management, ensuring real-time data capture, accurate reporting, and post-incident reviews.
* Support the coordination and deployment of security resources (e.g., personnel, assets, equipment) in response to incidents.
* Prioritise and follow up on incidents, ensuring swift resolution and risk mitigation.
* Conduct shift briefings and debriefings to maintain situational awareness and operational continuity.
* Liaise with emergency services and external agencies, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and professionally.
Staffing & Team Leadership
* Lead and develop ECC personnel, providing training, guidance, and welfare support to enhance performance.
* Foster a proactive team culture, ensuring staff remain engaged and proficient in CCTV operations and incident response.
* Monitor and assess team performance, providing feedback, coaching, and escalating issues where necessary.
* Supervise, prioritise, and direct staff tasks, ensuring proactive support for ground teams through effective security convergence.
Communications & Coordination
* Manage the Incident Management System (IMS), ensuring timely and accurate recording of incidents, actions, and notifications.
* Review IMS reports and logs for accuracy, completeness, and quality assurance.
* Oversee and manage emails, telephone enquiries, and radio communications, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
* Ensure clear communication and message relay between departments, external agencies, and estate stakeholders.
* Provide advice and guidance to the public and external organisations on security matters when appropriate.
* Maintain familiarity with the estate layout, tenant occupation, key personnel, and building routines to support operational efficiency.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
* Ensure ECC staff comply with data protection legislation (e.g., GDPR, Data Protection Act) when handling data.
* Ensure faults, hazards, and incidents are correctly logged in IMS and reported for follow-up.
* Oversee that security systems and equipment are used correctly and maintained to required standards.
General Duties
* Be prepared to deputise for the ECC Coordinator and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
* Liaise with key stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and security management, to support operational objectives.
* Undertake any other duties as directed by security management in alignment with company values: Excellence, Ownership, Innovation, Engagement, and Collaboration.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Evidence of continuous professional development is essential.
* Relevant experience in Police, Military or Security industry is desirable.
* Ability to understand incident management and the principles involved in all stages.
* Training experience would be highly advantageous.
* Proven track record encompassing operational and administrative focus with a good standard of punctuation and grammar.
* Innovative and proactive thinker with strong negotiation and leadership skills.
* Team management, performance monitoring and quality management skills.
* Individual must be able to manage small teams effectively, show good leadership, be a team player, self-disciplined, have sound judgement, confidence and decisiveness. And be an effective communicator with sound organisational skills.
* Computer literacy with a working knowledge of current computer systems and technical skills is essential.
* Prepared to work a varied shift pattern inclusive of nights, weekends, and bank holidays, be flexible and consider working additional hours if required.
