London Borough of Wandsworth are looking for a Social Worker to join the cast team. This role is highly flexible, sitting within a team similar to access and information where most work can be done via the phone.
The team is close knit and supportive with passionate and empathetic management.

Responsibilities:
– Lead role at Talking Points, coordinating with social prescribing and information navigation services.
– Acts as Safeguarding Enquiry Officer. Takes charge of complex cases, providing innovative short-term support and organizing urgent care.
– Intervene in risk or abuse situations following safeguarding procedures. Assess individual and carer needs, promoting independence and preventing harm.
– Collaborate with service users and carers to enhance their independence, wellbeing, and choice.
– Manage a caseload, offering support and advice to social care assessors, students, and partners.
– Provide guidance and share information with service users, carers, and agencies, ensuring compliance with data protection policies.
– Empower service users through personalized assessment and support planning.
– Monitor and adjust care packages to maintain quality and value, complying with statutory requirements.
– Apply social work ethics, respect diversity, and engage in continuous professional development.
– Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to data protection regulations and sharing information appropriately.

Successful candidates will have completed their ASYE, have experience working in adults’ services and have strong knowledge of legislation relating to Safeguarding and The Care Act 2014.
