The Wave, Bristol, are recruiting a Front of House Team Leader. This is a permanent, full-time position. The Wave is a slice of the ocean inland, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can experience the joy of surfing and its many physical and mental health benefits Our F&B area can seat 300 visitors (inside and out) and is a high-volume operation. We feed and water super hungry surfers, our guests staying at The Camp, and spectators who come to hang out in our amazing venue. As a Food and Beverage Team Leader at The Wave, you will assist in the running of the food and beverage department which includes the kitchen, clubhouse and site pop ups. Working alongside the F&B Manager and Assistant F&B Manager, you will ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly through people management, delegation and knowing what your departments needs at different times. Our Front of House Team Leader: Plan and lead the shift so that everyone is performing at their best throughout the day to enhance our visitor experience Work in all sections, as and when necessary, from the bar to the back of house Be the first point of contact for escalated customer feedback and ensure any disputes or adverse comments are resolved Work with and maintain relationships with third party companies such as suppliers Go the extra mile to make our visitors happy and ensuring they leave The Wave with a smile on their face Support the F&B Managers to deliver the departmental objectives Assist the F&B Manager to train Level 1 & 2 FOH team members in-line with their training checklist Ensure your team are always adhering to high levels of food hygiene safety practices Work with the F&B Manager to adapt the departments resourcing and offerings to stay in-line with targets and KPI’s Our ideal Wavemaker will have a proactive & ambitious mindset with a desire to ‘muck in’ where needed across the business with an ability to work under pressure and a drive and determination to achieve the best.
