You will be working at our settings within schools Monday - Friday, your shifts will be 7:30am - 9.00am for the Breakfast club and 3.00pm - 6.00pm for the After School Club. This is a 25 hour/week contract. You will be based at Fairfield Park. Term time only and all year round contracts available.
You will be modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues and ensuring your children have the best start to their school day!
You will help create a safe, fun and fulfilling home from home environment for the children at Dawn Until Dusk, asking how their school day was, playing games and eating a snack before they go home for dinner. We care about our children and know them really well, and we hope you will love this job as much as we do.

Qualifications and Experience :
Ideally hold a level 1, 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/ Early Years but not essential
Management experience desirable
Experience within a nursery/preschool/childminding environment
A willingness to undertake relevant training in the future
Own transport to get to the venues
A passion for childcare and a genuine interest in child development.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As a Manager, you will ensure every individual child’s needs are met, including supporting parents with any SEND needs and your staff team
Take ownership of the observation, assessments and planning for your key children in line with EYFS and provide developmentally challenging next steps.
Be a key player to ensure the setting receives excellent outcomes in internal audits and those of external authorities such as Ofsted, Environmental health etc.
Ensure we encourage and praise children’s development and achievements.
Ensuring that the supervision of the children from your team of Playworkers is sufficient – children need to always be within sight or hearing and ideally within sight and hearing
Delivering and assisting the Playworkers with leading the timetabled activities that you’ve created together to a group of children from 2 to 13 years old.
Coordinating staff to ensure staff to child ratios are always followed.
Understanding and following the requirements of the Ofsted voluntary and childcare register and early years register.
To manage the sign in and sign out process with parent and children
To manage child behaviour in line with the child behaviour policy
To manage and organise your team effectively
To manage bookings and maximise places at the club with the administration team
Follow all company policies – you need to know them, understand them and implement them.
Admin and paperwork required in line with Ofsted, early years and childcare regulations such as reporting.
Recording and reporting any safeguarding concerns to your Area Manager and following the safeguarding procedure and to speak up against practices that don’t support safeguarding or our core values.
