Job Summary
The Shetland Islands Council is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join their team. As a key member of the Community Health and Social Care Directorate, you will provide specialist services to individuals and their carers, promoting independence and optimal functional performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to enhance function and prevent deterioration.
* Provide specialist aids and adaptations to support individuals in their daily lives.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care services.
* Develop and implement reablement programs to promote independence and community participation.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Strong knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles and practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to travel throughout Shetland and adapt to changing circumstances.
