We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Paediatric Team as a Sleep Practitioner. In this role, you will play a crucial part in improving the management of sleep difficulties in children and young people with significant neurodevelopmental difficulties and/or complex health needs/neuro disabilities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that melatonin is prescribed only to those who require it.
The children referred to this service will already be on the caseload of a Community Paediatrician and will need more intensive input and support than what is currently available within existing community services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialist sleep assessments, support, and interventions to families of children with significant neurodevelopmental difficulties, neuro disabilities, and/or complex health care needs.
• Collaborate with Community Paediatricians to ensure comprehensive care.
• Develop and implement individualized sleep management plans.
• Educate families on sleep hygiene and effective sleep strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
If you are passionate about improving sleep management for children with complex needs and are looking for a rewarding part-time role, we would love to hear from you!
