Position: Plant Manager
Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary plus £5,500 car allowance or £5,000 cash equivalent, full family healthcare, 18% annual bonus potential, 27.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising with time served, and a pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director of the South East, you will:
1. Lead the Mail Centres operational management team and up to 400 total staff, embedding operating standards to raise performance in all areas and being responsible for the achievement of KPIs, including safety, quality, cost efficiency, and people.
2. Achieve a fully engaged and aligned workforce, providing leadership that creates enthusiasm and inspiring others to embrace positive change.
3. Transform the site into a continuously improving organisation, building a culture of high performance and creating a climate for success, collective ownership, and a shared sense of achievement.
4. Ensure health, safety, and legal compliance for the Plant, promoting a positive safety culture through reinforcement of safe behaviour and visible leadership.
5. Be a key member of the regional management team by assisting with creating and developing regional business plans, leading and delivering regional and national initiatives, and owning Plant relationships with union colleagues.
About You:
To excel in this role, you will possess and be able to evidence the following skills and experience:
* Expert operational knowledge related to product, process, and overall plan performance with a skilled commercial outlook.
* Highly developed communication, people management, and development skills.
* A history of being recognised as an excellent coach with experience in managing complex conduct cases and resolving complex people issues.
* Operational planning and forecasting capabilities for a wider plant.
* A track record of being a process management and improvement expert with detailed understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
* Proven problem analysis and solving capabilities using advanced problem-solving tools and root cause analysis.
* Strong drive, enthusiasm, and resilience with a history of striving for continuous improvement.
* Six Sigma black belt or equivalent qualification, and desirably PIC, IOSH, and NEBOSH qualifications.
