Duties
We need someone who thrives on a wide variety of duties- ranging from serving customers, selling medicines, giving advice on minor ailments, labelling, dispensing, unpacking delivery, stock replenishment, blister packing, handling phone calls, cash handling and much more.
The applicant needs to actively embrace current and constantly evolving NHS agenda such as providing advice on Diabetes, Weight management, Smoking, Healthy Living, being Dementia Friendly, promoting Vaccination service etc. To do so, the applicant needs to keep up to date with required training to comply with legal and professional requirements.
Skills
The applicant must be able to:
* Show they are enthusiastic, energetic, flexible and focused.
* Work with ease across the healthcare counter and the dispensary, wherever you are needed the most.
* Demonstrate fluency in using a range of computer software.
* Fluently switch between tasks, without getting flustered.
* Perform a range of tasks and memorize them.
* Demonstrate an ability to engage with smile & compassion.
* Deliver outstanding customer service and build customer relationships.
In addition, you will need to show evidence of the following:
* Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues, surgeries & suppliers.
* Ability to pay attention to detail.
* Flexibility to adapt and juggle a range of tasks.
* Plan & prioritize work.
Education & Experience
Held a job (more than 16 hours per week) for at least 2 years OR two or more A-Levels (min grade C). We are open to a variety of applicants- with or without pharmacy experience.

Qualifications
For applicants who do not have a suitable qualification, this job gives an opportunity to gain an NVQ Level 2 Qualification with Medicines Counter and Dispensing Course. Study will mostly be in your own time along with support in the workplace.
Days & Hours
Weekdays: 2-6:30pm, 4 Afternoons a week. Saturdays: 9-1 only. Some flexibility in Days & Hours will be considered. Details to be discussed in person.
