A well-established provider of subsea technology and services is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales and secure new opportunities in the offshore market. With a strong product range covering ROVs, tooling, and aftermarket services, the company plays a key role in supporting subsea operations worldwide. This role is central to the commercial team, working closely with senior leadership to develop strategies, build client relationships, and expand market presence through targeted business development efforts. This position involves international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading business development efforts, identifying and pursuing opportunities to meet growth and revenue targets.
2. Managing key client accounts, ensuring expectations and requirements are clearly communicated and met.
3. Building and strengthening relationships with key industry players to align with strategic sales objectives.
4. Attending and contributing to client meetings, trade shows, industry events, and commercial negotiations.
5. Playing an active role in tendering and proposals, identifying opportunities, influencing bid strategies, and ensuring a strong commercial position.
6. Working alongside marketing to ensure subsea sales activities reflect company branding and messaging.
7. Monitoring market trends and industry developments to support business planning and product positioning.
8. Identifying potential gaps in market coverage and assessing opportunities for expansion.
9. Ensuring all sales materials and presentations accurately reflect company capabilities and market expectations.
10. Recommending and coordinating attendance at key networking and industry events.
About You:
1. Proven track record in business development or sales within the subsea sector.
2. Strong understanding of subsea products, including ROVs and associated tooling.
3. Experience in contract negotiations and commercial strategy development.
4. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
7. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
