Head of Data & Insights – Global Broking Centre, London.
Aon is seeking to recruit a Head of Data & Insight to lead the data strategy and analytics initiatives within the Aon Global Broking Centre (GBC). This role will be a core member of Aon’s GBC in London and will collaborate closely with global Aon’s data and analytics teams to drive data-driven decision-making and insights.
The Global Broking Centre in London is a central element of Aon’s global broking strategy, providing global Aon client-facing offices with access to London-based insurers and innovative capital providers.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually, and from our London office.

What the day will look like
* Proactively analyse GBC data to deliver analytics tools and insights on the following areas: Analysis of the portfolio of business placed by GBC, Claims trends and loss ratio analysis, Market trends and trading relationships with different insurers.
* Development of new broking facilities.
* Improvement of Aon’s profitability and yield.
* Metrics for operational performance.
* Insight to support end-to-end process management.
* Lead the development and deployment of data analytics and business intelligence solutions to support decision-making.
* Apply advanced analytics techniques to uncover insights and trends that drive business performance.
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights to collaborators.
* Work closely with GBC COO, CEO and Chief Broking Officer
* Collaborate with the UK Data Management team and Global Data Management teams and projects.
* Partner with GBC business units, Operations colleagues, Structured Portfolio Solutions team, and other key collaborators to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
* Engage with external data providers and technology vendors to enhance data capabilities.
* Maintain strong relationships with internal and external collaborators to ensure alignment and support for data initiatives.
* Work as an integral part of Aon 3x3 projects that will ensure the digital transformation of GBC’s way of operating: Aon Broker Copilot and Aon Policy Link, Data integration with Whitespace/PPL, Digital tools to deliver automated capacity and data-based algorithmic underwriting on Aon’s portfolio.
* Help to define data standards for new tools and monitor data quality for new tools as they launch.
* Represent GBC (and AUM) in global data standard projects.
* Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and data scientists to build a high-performing data and insights function.
* Attract key talent
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
* Deliver training and support to colleagues to improve data literacy and analytical skills.

This role will focus on demonstrating data analytics, business intelligence, and advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights and support pivotal initiatives.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
* Extensive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and data strategy is needed
* Deep knowledge of the insurance industry, including the London insurance market – essential.
* Validated experience in leading data and analytics teams and delivering data-driven insights.
* Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning and predictive analytics – desirable
* Knowledge of core data initiatives in the London Market (market-wide initiatives and innovative data models launched by insurers) – desirable.
