Customer Service & Sales Support Advisor
Location: Tamworth
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with flexibility if required)
We are excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Customer Service & Sales Support Advisor to join the Sales & Commercial team at our client's site in Tamworth. You will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive outstanding service and support. In this busy and dynamic role, you will work closely with the Sales and Commercial teams, as well as colleagues across other departments, including Quality, Planning, and Production.
The Role:
As a key member of the Sales and Commercial team, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, playing a vital role in coordinating product deliveries, managing scheduling, and maintaining excellent customer service. You will also be responsible for managing customer expectations and supporting the smooth operation of various business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Sales and Customer Services inbox, ensuring all queries and orders are processed promptly or directed to the relevant department.
Ensure product specifications are accurate and up to date, with the most recent versions stored in the public folder.
Input all orders and quotations into the system with precision and within agreed timelines.
Confirm order details and send confirmation to relevant stakeholders, including councils, as required.
Update daily order information to ensure sales and order reports are accurate and current.
Collaborate with the Planning team to ensure production plans are reflected in the daily reports.
Generate Purchase Order requisitions and supply PO numbers to customers and suppliers promptly.
Ensure Purchase Orders are correctly booked against invoices.
Participate in meetings regarding production, planning, and customer complaints.
Act as the primary contact for councils and suppliers.
Coordinate delivery of sample products to customers through the FedEx system.
Notify customers about delivery date changes or any delays.
Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and collaborate with National Account Managers to maintain or improve these ratings.
Reach out to former customers to explore business opportunities.
Provide administrative support to the Sales team, such as populating specification sheets and order forms.
Ensure that changes to customer accounts (e.g., address changes) are processed accurately.
Answer the main switchboard, ensuring professional and efficient handling of all calls.
Maintain site security by following safety procedures and controlling site access.
Meet and greet visitors to site, ensuring proper signing-in and out procedures are followed.
Provide support to other departments, including Credit Control to ensure timely invoice payments.
Organize and coordinate site events, including inviting participants, booking rooms, and ordering refreshments.
Ensure that both electronic and paper files are organized and maintained to a high standard.

Proven multi-tasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects efficiently.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Required Skills & Experience:
Previous administrative and customer service experience is essential.
Experience in roles such as Customer Service or Sales Administration is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and customers.
IT proficiency, including competence in the Microsoft suite and ability to learn in-house systems quickly.
