Corporate Account Executive - Cambridgeshire
Whether you are an experienced Corporate Account Executive, or one from more of a Commercial or Middle-Market background, if you want to challenge yourself dealing with complex insurance programmes, then there are few better places to forge a career than with this global broker.
Here, you will inherit a longstanding portfolio of clients and be supported in the day-to-day management of these accounts by gifted, highly technical Broking & Account Handling Teams. You will also benefit from a comprehensive array of ancillary services and solutions to offer your clients, provided by in-house specialist teams. This is all backed by a service proposition that means that for generations, this firm has remained one of the biggest names in the market.
Depending on your skills, experience and ambitions, your portfolio will stand at circa £300K and comprise clients from a variety of industry sectors, both blue and white collar. Individual clients could range in terms of brokerage income from £10K-£50K.
Working with your support teams, you will be responsible for developing a detailed knowledge of your clients’ businesses and exposure to risk. Where gaps in cover are identified, you will suggest innovative ways to mitigate these, in line with your clients’ appetite for carrying risk. You will take the lead with renewals, from producing reports and associated MI, through to negotiating with insurers to secure the most comprehensive cover.
This dynamic broker is an advocate of flexible-working, and you will be able to work roughly half your time from home (if desired), with the remainder being office based or spent with clients.
Whilst it is not essential that you have previously dealt with 50K income risks, you must have experience of non-SME business: ideally cases paying commission and fees in excess of £5K and be confident in your ability to (with support and training), scale this up to £10K+ risks in the near future.
You should have a good understanding of all common commercial covers, including Property, Liability, D&O, Commercial Combined and Professional Indemnity. You must also have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and be able to put together a variety of reports and documentation. It’s important that you have excellent organisation and task-management skills, along with first-rate attention to detail.
You will receive a generous basic salary (plus car allowance) along with a flexible benefits package that includes a market-leading pension arrangement. For the ambitious, there will be a variety of opportunities to progress in the not-too-distant future, meaning you could develop into managerial roles, or focus on other specialisms.
