About the role We are looking for a team player with strong attention to detail and proven clerical, reconciliation, customer service and data entry/computer skills to join our Rates team in the position of Rates Administration Officer on a temporary part-time basis (14 hours per week) for a period of 12 months. You will join a friendly and supportive team and build your knowledge and experience in administering local government rates. Essential criteria Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Proven clerical and reconciliation skills Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines Accurate alphanumeric and data entry experience Working knowledge of Microsoft applications Desirable criteria Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or relevant area Experience in Local Government Rates An understanding of the Local Government Act 1993, particularly its application to rating Sound knowledge of accounts receivable processes and debt recovery Current Class C driver licence Commencing salary: $37.15 per hour, plus 11.5% Superannuation Please select the link/s below to view the position description and to submit your application online.
