We have an exciting opportunity for Casual, Travel Passenger Assistants to join Southampton City Council (SCC) in the School Travel Service team.
About the role
Would you like to help us provide an important transport service for children? School Passenger Assistants play a key role in enabling children with special educational needs to attend school.
We are looking for applicants in the following postcode areas - SO14, SO15, SO16, SO17, SO18, SO19, who are also under the Southampton City Council jurisdiction for Council Tax.
Please note this post is on a casual basis, Term Time only. Typical hours offered will fall within the range of 07:30 to 09:30 in the morning and 14:30 to 16:30 in the afternoon-although they may vary.
About you
Do you have a natural ability to make people smile and have good people skills?
If you can answer ‘yes’ to the above questions, you may be interested in joining Southampton City Council’s team of relief/casual Passenger Assistants.
No formal qualifications are needed, just a natural rapport with children and young people, alongside an awareness and understanding of special educational needs.
Formal Training will be provided either online via eLearning modules and/or face to face. You will need to have access to suitable IT equipment like a computer tablet, laptop, or desktop computer as well as a mobile phone.
A car or driving license is not required for this role.
