Team Manager - Mental Health Review Team/S117
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Team Manager in our Mental Health Review/S117 Team. This role will be part of the management team for Countywide Mental Health Services.
The established team supports adults with mental health needs to lead the best lives they can, with a focus on least restrictive practice and strength based/recovery focussed practice.
The 3 conversations approach is to be embedded in the team and therefore all work on the principles of asset-based practice to inform any commissioning approaches.
The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge of working within Leicestershire County Council and of interagency/partnership working and will understand the challenges of working within mental health and social care. They will join a cohesive management team who are not afraid or unwilling to support work demands by taking a place-based approach, if required.
About The Role
* To ensure that staff can provide good outcomes for people by implementing the department's operating model and ways of working to deliver social care.
* To provide technical and professional support to team members.
* To improve ways of working for staff by supporting and implementing improved working between teams and partner agencies.
* To manage staffing budgets and staff performance using departmental and corporate policies ensuring effective and efficient team capacity, capability and delivery.
* To ensure the effective management of team performance and resources.
* To provide performance and delivery reports to Strategic Service Managers and the Head of Service.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
* Have a sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and managing Social Workers holding complex caseloads.
* Experience of stakeholder and relationship management.
* Experience of business planning.
* Proven experience in budget management and in delivering significant efficient savings.
* Theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of social work and social care legislation, policy and best practice.
* An understanding of, and commitment to Equal Opportunities, and the ability to apply this to all situations.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
