Teaching Personnel have Social Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant roles in the Trafford area, where you will be supporting young people with complex needs, offering tailored educational and emotional support. You will also work to create a safe and understanding space where students can grow. Responsibilities : Behavioural Support: Provide tailored support for students managing emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them to regulate and engage positively with their peers and the curriculum. Supporting the Teacher: Assist the classroom teacher in delivering specialized lessons and interventions for students with SEMH needs. One-to-One Support: Work with students who need individual attention due to anxiety, school refusal, or attachment difficulties, offering support to help them re-engage with learning. Safeguarding and Well-Being: Assist in safeguarding students and promoting their overall well-being by creating a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment. Requirements: Experience working with young people with SEMH needs, behavioural difficulties, or mental health challenges is highly desirable. Behaviour Management Skills: A strong ability to use positive behaviour management strategies to support students through challenging moments. Relevant Qualifications: A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, is preferred, though not essential.
