To lead and enhance our logistics, supply chain, and operational processes.
You will be responsible for developing and executing operational strategies, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement. As a key driver of change, you will optimize warehousing, distribution, and transportation, while fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Your role
This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a strong presence on the work floor to drive operational excellence and lead by example. Our main warehouse is located in Varsseveld, and the Operations Director is expected to be on-site at least four days per week to ensure close involvement in day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities
1. Managing the daily operations of the Varsseveld Warehouse: Varsseveld is the major warehouse and logistical hub of the Benelux cluster, servicing Germany and other international countries within the Kramp Group. The warehouse facilities are approximately 80,000m2, over 600 FTE, 250,000 order pick-lines each week, and over 200,000 unique articles in stock. Our Varsseveld warehouse has a high level of automation in which you play a pivotal role to enhance and guide the teams through this transformation.
2. Overseeing the major investment project: We have ongoing major investments to significantly expand the warehouse footprint and further invest in automation.
3. Strategic Leadership: Define and implement the operational strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term objectives.
4. Logistics & Supply Chain Excellence: Oversee warehousing, transportation, and distribution to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
5. Operational Optimization: Lead process improvements, automation initiatives, and change management projects to enhance productivity and scalability.
6. Performance & KPI Management: Translate strategic objectives into measurable KPIs (on-time delivery, efficiency, customer satisfaction, cost control) and drive results.
7. Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency.
8. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strong partnerships and seamless operational execution.
9. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
10. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Your team
In this role, you will report to the Managing Director of the Benelux and work closely with the Kramp Group VP Supply Chain. You will lead a team of key operational managers, including: Warehouse Manager, Facility Manager, Operational Excellence Manager, Transport Manager, and Safety & Quality Manager.

We are looking for a decisive and experienced leader with a strong logistics and supply chain background within a complex, high-volume environment. You thrive in a hands-on role and enjoy being actively involved in daily operations while keeping a strategic perspective.
Requirements:
1. Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
2. 10+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, and warehousing, preferably within an e-commerce or digital services-driven environment.
3. Hands-on leadership style, with a strong presence on the work floor to ensure operational success.
4. Proven expertise in change management, process optimization, and strategic execution.
5. Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience in operational KPI management.
6. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
7. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
8. Experience in interpreting strategy and translating it into execution plans within medium to long-term timeframes.
9. Strong understanding of compliance, safety, and quality regulations within operations.
10. Willingness to work at least four days per week on-site in Varsseveld.
