Retail Manager - Cranbrook Summary An exciting opportunity has become available to lead the retail operation at Sissinghurst Castle Garden, one of the top turnover shops within the National Trust. As the Retail Manager you’ll play an important part in helping people enjoy their day. And you’ll be generating crucial funds for the National Trust to invest in protecting and caring for places, so people and nature can thrive. Salary: 34,437 per annum Duration: Permanent Interview: 24 / 25 April 2025 What it's like to work here Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll be leading a team including an Assistant Retail Manager, Team Leaders, Retail Assistants and Retail Volunteers across two retail outlets. You'll be part of the leadership team at Sissinghurst Castle Garden and will work closely with the General Manager and the wider team, actively involved in making decisions that affect the whole place. What you'll be doing Your focus every day will be on your customers: going out of your way to make sure they’re having their best possible day. You'll lead your team from the front, encouraging them to speak to people and listen to what they want. And inspire them, so that everyone who buys something knows just what a difference their contribution, however small, will make to the work of the Trust in protecting nature, beauty and history. You'll set stretching targets for the team, and work together to achieve these through the highest standards of customer service and presentation of retail products.
