A vacancy exists for a Brewing and Fermenting Manager
Samuel Smiths is one of Britains few remaining longstanding independent breweries. It brews a broad range of high quality beers from all natural ingredients at the Old Brewery in Tadcaster, Yorkshire, which was established in 1758.
PREFEFED
* Internationally recognised brewing qualification and/or science degree in a related field
* 3 years in a leading role in brewery environment
* 5 + years commercial brewing experience
* The ideal candidate should be passionate, enthusiastic, self motivated, reliable and have a keen interest in brewing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee all aspects of the production process, from brewing, fermentation to maturation and filtration, ensuring quality and consistency in every batch.
2. Yeast management
3. Lead the brewing team, coordinating activities and ensuring production schedules are met.
4. Develop and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
5. Maintain detailed documentation.
6. Promote and enforce high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the team.
