The SEN Intervention Worker (Specialist SEMH 1:1 Support) will work specifically with a vulnerable student. The role will ensure the student has consistent one to one support that will help build trust in a school environment, promote great attendance, and build confidence academically to achieve in core subject areas and areas of vocational interest. While in the afternoon leading a small cohort of children to take part in offsite activities. The role will promote positive engagement in learning, support academic progress, development of life skills and positive behaviour outside of the school environment. Wherever possible, the role will support a successful transition beyond Haywards Farm School and promote the importance of achievement in core and vocational subjects and help to explore further learning and career goals.
