We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Administrative Assistant who is seeking further challenges in their career.
The successful candidates will have experience and excellent communication and IT skills.
The Main Functions Of The Team Include
1. To assist in managing the finances of clients under the direction of the Court of Protection.
2. To utilise current systems for safekeeping of clients' monies and/or make the necessary arrangements for an approved bank account.
3. To maintain annual accounts, collect income, and make payments.
4. To identify loss of potential benefits for clients using current systems and contact the DWP accordingly.
5. To undertake visits as required to support the work of the Management of Finances Team, including financial reviews, house clearances, inventories, serving of court orders, and registering of deaths.
6. To arrange funerals for residents of the Borough who die without family or funds.
7. To be responsible for the reconciliation and recording of all monies received by the Finance Section.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working with vulnerable adults, though this is not essential, be confident in dealing with numerical data, have strong IT skills, and excellent communication abilities. A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential.
Hours Of Work: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
