Businesses in the UK and EU are well accustomed to the need to meet carbon reporting requirements, support audits, and start towards their Net Zero and/or decarbonisation commitments. However, the tools that have worked to date are struggling to keep up with increasing demands for quality & trust. Critical pain points exist around data collection, processing, and calculation that are currently unsolvable by manual solutions such as Excel and underserved by market solutions. Minimum focuses on going deep to truly solve the real pains that large, complex Enterprises face as they try to build carbon data capability. Minimum is partnered with Nasdaq, PwC, and other sustainability leaders who recognise the need for a deep overhaul in how companies manage carbon data.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional account executive to join our highly talented and experienced team. Since launching, we have focused deeply on product development and scaling efficiently through the partnerships channel. We are now ready to take the product directly to market and have seen impressive traction with a client base that includes UK Power Networks, Games Workshop, 1-800 Flowers, and partnerships with Nasdaq. Doubling down on this success, we’re at the precipice of building a scalable direct sales process.
As the first sales hire and pioneer, you’ll work closely with Co-Founder and CEO Chris Winchurch to build the direct sales model, land new logos and codify processes. Together, you’ll test and iterate, creating a best-in-class playbook along the way.
Many fundamentals need to be established, ranging from personas and value propositions to detailed mapping of the enterprise sales process.
To be successful in this role, we believe the ideal candidate will:
* Be experienced in Enterprise Sales and Solution Selling
*
o (B2B SaaS) to multiple stakeholders across the business (C-level, -1,2)
* Have at least 5 years of experience in SaaS sales
*
o A minimum of 3 years hitting and exceeding quota at an Enterprise level (within a startup environment)
* Have been the first salesperson (or part of the early team) in a startup or new territory
* Have a solid grounding in sales methodologies and experience in building out sales motions.
* Understand the importance of being adaptable and creative in an early-stage business
*
o Can evidence this with direct examples.
* A thinker and a doer, you recognise the opportunity to build out the sales function but understand the need to get ‘stuck into’ every part of the sales process from lead generation through to close.
Whilst Greenhouse Gas Accounting / Reporting experience isn’t essential, anyone joining the sales team must be comfortable learning this space in detail to be credible with senior buyers such as Sustainability Managers, Sustainability Directors, and Chief Sustainability Officers.
