The Water Systems Technician is responsible for ensuring the ongoing compliance and upkeep of all water systems within the building. This includes:
• Maintaining Water Quality: Regularly monitoring and testing water quality to ensure it meets all regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Promptly identifying and resolving any issues that may arise with the water systems, including leaks, blockages, or contamination.
• Safety Compliance: Implementing and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures related to water systems, including disinfection and backflow prevention.
• Supply Management: Ensuring a consistent and adequate supply of water to the building to meet the needs of occupants and operations.
• System Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and repairs on all water system components, such as pumps, valves, and pipes.
• Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of water system inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.

• Monitor and adjust treatment parameters to achieve desired water quality outcomes.

• May be required to respond to after-hours emergencies or system failures.
The Water Treatment Specialist/Facility Manager plays a crucial role in safeguarding public health and upholding the integrity of our water infrastructure. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, including:
• Ensuring Water Quality and Safety: Rigorously monitoring and analyzing water quality parameters to guarantee compliance with regulatory standards and the delivery of safe, potable water to consumers. This involves conducting regular tests, interpreting results, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Operational Management: Overseeing the daily operations of the water treatment facility, including the supervision of staff, maintenance of equipment, and management of chemical inventories. This also entails coordinating with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluating and improving treatment processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental
impact. This may involve implementing new technologies, optimizing chemical dosages, and streamlining operational procedures.
• Emergency Response: Developing and implementing emergency response plans to address unforeseen events such as equipment failures, chemical spills, or natural disasters. This includes coordinating with emergency services and providing timely communication to the public.
