As a fast-growing company making a difference every day, we are seeking a Software Test/Quality Assurance Engineer (SQA Engineer). The SQA Engineer will work on a cross-functional team and perform both manual and automated testing on our products to ensure we deliver solutions that are both robust and of the highest quality. In addition to test execution, this person will develop new test procedures, implement automated test scripts, and create test reports. A successful SQA Engineer candidate will be an individual contributor with the desire to grow into a lead as additional SQA resources are added to the team.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Perform software testing, including both manual and automated test execution, to ensure the software meets all requirements and desired functionality.
* Create test plans and detailed software defect reports, and collaborate with the development team to reproduce and troubleshoot the system.
* Develop manual and automated test cases to fully exercise the software functionality for new releases including corner cases and unintended inputs.
* Design and implement test scripts with the goal of developing a fully automated suite of regression tests.
* Create software test procedures, documentation, reports, and status snapshots as needed, and other tasks as directed by management.
* Own the SQA function, establish best practices, tools and procedures, and test protocols for SQA.
* Work with SEIT (Systems Engineering Integration and Testing) and other cross functions to validate new software on simulators, test stands, and systems.
Requirements:
* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar degree program.
* 3+ years of professional experience, working in a software test / quality assurance role.
* Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent software and software-driven system troubleshooting skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently, but also thrives in an integrated team environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in the creation and maintenance of documentation.
* Ability to collect data from various repositories and in different formats, and compile test reports.
* Experience with scripting, e.g. Python, Bash, etc. for test automation.
* Experience working with test automation frameworks, including Selenium, is highly desired.
* Experience with unit test frameworks, especially for C++ and Python, is highly desired.
* Experience working with and/or a strong passion for robotic applications and vision systems is a plus.
* Experience with Atlassian products (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bugzilla, etc.) is a plus.
