We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Compliance professional to lead the regulatory and compliance strategy for the Telecommunications services at UW business. This role is broad in scope allowing you to work across compliance, regulation, policy and public affairs with a view to supporting the ongoing growth of our Telco business.
To be successful in this role you will possess a deep knowledge of Telco regulations with direct experience working with Ofcom and other regulatory bodies, and the ability to implement, embed and supervise effective compliance across a growing and dynamic business. We’re continuing to scale at pace so you’ll be focused on developing a best-in-class compliance approach to support the business as it grows.
This is a hybrid role working from our Central London hubs 2 days per week.

This role will report directly to the Legal & Compliance Director. You'll form part of a high performing Regulatory leadership, working closely with colleagues in the Energy and Financial Services space. Your key stakeholders internally will be the Telecoms Director and Telecoms management team who you will have daily interaction, as well as the Customer & product teams more broadly.
You'll have direct line management responsibility for a Billing Approval Manager.

What you’ll do
* Developing and leading our telecom regulatory and compliance strategy, working closely with the Telecoms Director, General Counsel and our telecoms management team to provide strategic, business-focused advice to help us meet our regulatory and business requirements and provide a great service to our customers.
* Working effectively with members of the internal regulatory, compliance and legal teams, you will develop and manage our second line regulatory and compliance framework being responsible for providing regulatory compliance, reporting and quality assurance, including reporting annually to our Group Audit & Risk Committee.
* Providing guidance and support to stakeholders across the business to ensure that a proactive culture to telecoms regulation flourishes within our business.
* Represent our views and interests with Ofcom and Government departments as well as building and managing our relationships with key industry bodies.
* Preparing and managing mandatory audits regarding Ofcom’s Metering & Billing direction.
