This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Works Department as we open our new Centre of Excellence for Heritage Craft Skills & Estate Management.
The Centre of Excellence will establish the York Minster Precinct as a world class campus facility for research, education, and training in traditional craft skills as well as the many technical skills needed to care for a heritage estate in the 21st century.
Machine and Workshop Manager Role
The Machine and Workshop Manager role is perfect for someone who:
1. Has operated and managed CNC machines;
2. Worked cross-functionally between departments to deliver projects On Time In Full (OTIF);
3. Captured and analysed data to drive efficiencies and improvements;
4. Has oversight of operational and health and safety requirements;
5. Managed varied machine and plant maintenance;
6. Managed and developed a team;
7. Has an interest in adopting new technologies.
The Machine and Workshop Manager plays a key part in the management of workflow through our state of the art equipment and is involved in exploring exciting new technologies.
The closing date for applications is 9am on Friday 7 February. Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing Monday 17 February.
