Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Pilning, South Gloucestershire

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
About the School:
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded Specialist School, is committed to providing inclusive education and support for students with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) specifically those with a primary diagnosis of Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) to students aged 4-19. In close partnership with this respected school, we are looking for a dedicated Support Worker or Teaching Assistant to support students with SEMH needs. The school offers a nurturing, safe and holistic environment where students are encouraged to thrive and achieve their full potential in a supportive and positive learning atmosphere, nestled in the countryside.
Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who can bring their experience and enthusiasm to support students with SEMH needs, both in and outside the classroom. The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience supporting children or young adults with SEND or SEMH is highly desirable.
2. A patient, adaptable and caring attitude, with the ability to manage challenging behaviours calmly and effectively.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
4. A proactive approach to supporting students in their academic and social development.

1. Nursery or school settings
2. Youth clubs, residential care, or care homes
3. Personal experience working with SEND
4. Graduates in psychology, sociology, sports, music, art, or drama are also encouraged to apply!

Additional Information:
1. Pay: £83.40 per day - £95.30 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
2. Contract: Permanent, Full-time role starting in January 2025
