We provide rapid access along busy commuter routes to our seven cities, servicing the varied needs of our business and leisure commuter services, including cross border services and rural services. We have up to 50 freight services operating every day and we are steadily building capacity for this to grow.
Brief Description
This is a role with huge responsibilities. You will be accountable for managing a section of the rail network and will manage and develop a large maintenance team. You'll drive safety and efficiency across diverse works.
The Distribution & Plant team for Scotland's Railway look after equipment across some of the busiest parts of the network between Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as some of the most scenic parts which includes the Banavie swing bridge in Fort William, West Highland line and Highland Main line. You will be provided with high-quality tools, PPE and equipment to ensure you are able to deliver quality work. Ongoing training will be provided as you continue to develop your skills.
We are interested to hear from candidates who have electrical experience as well as knowledge of High Voltage working arrangements.
This is a 12 Month Secondment / Fixed Term position.
