SEN Teaching Assistant

This part-time, temporary role is perfect for a compassionate and skilled individual eager to provide tailored support to children with ASD in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
About the Role:
As a SEN-TA specialising in ASD, you will work closely with students, helping them navigate their learning journey and achieve their full potential. Your role will include:
• 1:1 and group support for children with ASD, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Implementing effective communication strategies such as PECS or Makaton to support non-verbal or semi-verbal learners.
• Utilising behavioural management techniques to create a calm and productive learning environment.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop individualised learning plans.

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience working with children with ASD in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of communication aids and strategies, as well as behaviour management skills.
