MEM Recruitment Northampton is currently recruiting for Car Strip/ Fitter for our client based in Corby. Ideal candidate would be responsible for removing, assembling, or fitting parts, components, and machinery to ensure efficient functionality.
This role involves taking apart equipment, inspecting parts for wear and tear, and then reassembling them after necessary repairs or adjustments.
Duties will include but not be limited to;
- Disassembly:
* Carefully remove parts, components, or machinery from vehicles or equipment without causing damage.
* Use hand tools, power tools, and machines to strip down equipment or machinery.
-Inspection:
* Assess the condition of removed parts, identifying those that need repair or replacement.
* Ensure that all components meet the required specifications for reassembly.
-Reassembly/Fititng:
* Reassemble parts or machinery, ensuring all components fit securely and are properly aligned.
* Ensure that all work is completed to the necessary specifications and standards.
-Maintenance and Repair:
* Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks on parts, machinery, or vehicles during the strip and fitting process.
* Replace defective parts as necessary and test for proper function.
-Tool and Equipment handling:
* Safely use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment to strip and fit parts.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
-Quality Control:
* Check all work for quality, ensuring that all parts are securely fitted, and machinery operates correctly after reassembly.
* Follow safety standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
-Documentation:
* Record any work completed and note any issues found during disassembly, inspection, or reassembly.
* Communicate any repairs or part replacements to management or team leads.
-Safety Compliance:
* Adhere to safety protocols and wear the required protective equipment.
* Ensure that work areas are kept clean and safe.
Skills and Experience required:
* Minimum 1 year ofpreviousexperience in a similar role as a Vehicle Strip / Fitter
* Full UK Driving Licencewith ability to drive bothmanual and automatic cars
* Knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
* Ability to identify faults and ensure all parts fit correctly during the reassembly process.
* Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the necessary repairs or adjustments.
Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday + weekend OT
06:00am to 16:00pm
Pay: £17.50 per hour
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm
