A Civil Engineering Contractor are now looking for an Design Manager with structural, temporary works and geotechnical experience to join their growing team in Leeds. They’re looking for an experienced individual to oversee 4 teams within the office, projects will be mixed over the various disciplines. Design Manager Position Remuneration
* Salary: DOE Up to £85k
* 23 day’s holiday plus 8 days Bank Holidays

Design Manager Position Overview
* Overseeing 4 teams
* Provide technical support to the sectors of the business, including the above ground structures and tunnelling
* Support tendering developing construction methodology
* Lead the projects through the preconstruction design phase producing designs, as well as provide technical support through the construction phase supporting the site teams
* Earth work stability slope stability analysis
* Ground settlement analysis, from tunnelling and excavations
* Liaise with external consultants
Design Manager Position Requirements
* BEng or MEng level in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or similar discipline
* Working towards chartership, such as the ICE or IStructE
* 10 + years' experience with expertise within underground structures / Geotechnical / Structures / Tunnelling / Temporary works
* Technical skill with accomplished structural design skills and geotechnical knowledge
* Ability to help support, mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
* Sound knowledge with CDM H&S regulations.
* Competent to apply Temporary works design principals in accordance with BS5975 standard
* Capable to apply permanent work standards with design solutions in both timber, steel, reinforced concrete and of proprietary structural systems
