Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families facing various challenges. This position involves assessing clients' needs, developing tailored intervention plans, and providing ongoing support to help them achieve their goals. The Social Worker will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes professional growth.
Duties
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs and circumstances.
2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals.
3. Provide direct support services, including counselling, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
4. Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress.
5. Supervise and mentor junior social workers or interns, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
7. Stay informed about community resources and services to facilitate referrals for clients as needed.
8. Participate in training sessions, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skills.
Requirements
1. A recognised degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
2. Registration with the relevant professional body is essential.
3. Proven experience in social work practice, particularly in case management or direct client support.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
5. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
7. Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is highly desirable.
8. A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
