We are looking for an experienced Production/Capacity Planner to join a manufacturing company based in Poole. They design and supply tools for the oil and gas industry, and this is an opportunity to be part of a strong team. Responsible for creating capacity plans that meet business targets whilst optimising manufacturing efficiency and costs.
Main Accountabilities
1. Using Materials Resource Planning (MRP) software to load manufacturing capacity to achieve required sales order deadlines.
2. Planning machine shop loading around staff holidays, sicknesses, and machine breakdowns.
3. Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and provide solutions.
4. Communicate production schedule to staff and progress works orders through the production cycle.
5. Measure and report on monthly KPIs including schedule adherence, equipment utilization, efficiency, and productivity.
6. Purchasing consumable requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
7. Ensure manufacturing data is accurate at all times.
8. Create, modify, and maintain manufacturing routing cards.
9. Liaise with Machine Shop Supervisor on technical manufacturing details.
10. Raise purchase orders for mid-process sub-contract operations.
11. Facilitate continuous improvement of activities, processes, and procedures.
12. Ensure the work environment is kept clean and tidy.
Experience and Skills
1. Punctual, good team player.
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Manufacturing/production planning experience.
4. Experience using Microsoft Office, MRP & Scheduling systems.
5. ISO 9001 experience.
6. Knowledge of the CNC machining process.

1. Responsible for ensuring that the HSE Management System is implemented within the operations under their control. The person must actively monitor the workplace to ensure that acceptable standards are maintained. Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm
Friday 8am-2.30pm
