As the Quality Systems Coordinator, you will manage all audit activities (internal and external), ensuring that our processes, procedures, and standards are not only followed but also optimized. You will lead customer audits, drive quality culture on-site, and ensure compliance with the Quality Manual. You will provide technical support to meet food safety, quality, and GMP standards, collaborating with all departments to drive continuous improvement.
Key Areas of Responsibility

* Lead all onsite certification and customer audits, ensuring any non-conformances are investigated and resolved within the required timeframe. Oversee scheduling, hosting, and closing out actions, while educating the wider team on their involvement.
* Coordinate pre-audit inspections and communicate previous areas of non-conformance to relevant departments.
* Keep updated on changes to customer codes of practice/standards and integrate new requirements into the Quality Management System.
* Maintain the integrated management control and reporting system, covering food safety risk assessments, customer aspirations, and product quality.
* Serve as the super user for the ERP (TROPOS) system.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement through GMP, designing and maintaining relevant KPIs and verifying corrective actions.
* Design, implement, and maintain internal auditing and environmental monitoring aligned with the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety.
* Collaborate with other departments on non-conformance investigations and promote sustainable solutions.
* Identify significant shortfalls affecting food safety integrity and report them to the Technical Manager and Quality Control Coordinator.
* Lead and motivate the QA team in conducting audits against Quality Management Systems, GMP, and HACCP controls.
* Record process deviations and non-conforming products, ensuring corrective actions are documented and logged.
* Assist the Technical Manager in investigating complaints, non-conformances, and product failures, providing data and monitoring corrective actions.
* Coordinate staff activities to ensure high levels of customer service and task completion.
* Manage stock movements on the ERP system for QMAIN, HOLD, and Rework.
* Ensure accurate completion of Export documentation.

Person Specification
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing business, with at least 2 years in a senior QA or Supervisory role.
* Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP (minimum Level 2).
* Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external customers.
* Influencing and negotiation skills for driving change and ensuring a ‘right first time’ approach.
* Determination to complete tasks and overcome barriers.
* Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
* User knowledge of standard software systems.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Degree in Food Science or related field.
* Experience with UK retailers and knowledge of customer codes of practice, including RSPO, HALAL, and BRC requirements.
