The Payment Services & Supply Chain Finance (SCF) team within GTB is responsible for payment and collection services, electronic banking channels (Cash Management), and Supply Chain Finance solutions. Working in close collaboration with Global and Transaction Bankers, the team delivers tailored financial solutions that enhance corporate clients' operational efficiency and financial performance.
About the job:
The role is responsible for the promotion and sale of a broad range of local and global cash management products and services through RFP-driven sales to BBVA CIB inbound and cross-border clients across all geographies. The position will play a key role in centralising and standardising the proposal processes across countries, working closely with local RFP leads.
This role contributes to the growth of the cash management business by driving RFP sales, identifying gaps in product offerings and pricing, and ensuring a streamlined, high-quality RFP process across BBVA’s global network.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Support the Cash Management Sales Global Proposals Head in defining the business strategy and commercial plan for the cash management RFP proposals.
2. Assist in developing and implementing end-to-end RFP processes and management across all countries to ensure centralisation and standardisation.
3. Conduct strategic RFP analysis and planning, working alongside GTB management, sectorial bankers, transaction bankers, product specialists, and other relevant stakeholders.
4. Maintain an in-depth understanding of BBVA’s global and local cash management and transaction banking product suite.
5. End-to-end RFP project management, coordinating timeline and responses with team members in each country, overseeing and ensuring the completion of all tasks, consolidation and final submission.
6. Review and oversee RFP pricing proposals.
7. Lead and coordinate targeted and tailored RFP presentations and supportive materials.
8. Participate in the client presentations when shortlisted in the RFP process.
9. Attend client meetings related to RFP processes and discussions alongside bankers and product specialists.
10. Monitor and follow up on submitted RFPs, ensuring timely responses to client queries until a final decision is reached.
11. Maintain an accurate RFP dashboard and prepare reports and presentations for management to support strategic decision-making.
12. Guarantee up-to-date content database for RFPs.
13. Critical RFP product and pricing analysis.
14. Monitor RFP implementation status progress and measure income.
15. Stay informed and updated on market and new product and business.
Requirements include:
1. Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in related field required.
2. High level of Cash Management/GTB global and local product knowledge across all countries (payments, collections, liquidity management, acquiring services, treasury solutions…)
3. +5 years commercial experience working with multinational customers.
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities.
6. Time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
7. Strong presentation skills.
8. Ability to interact with multiple nationalities, teams and environments, to coordinate teams in different time zones and to negotiate in complex situations.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Fully bilingual English and Spanish required.
11. Advanced use of Microsoft Office and Google Tools (Docs, Presentations, Spreadsheets, Looker Studio).
12. Team player with a collaborative mindset.
