Sales Manager / Estimating Manager

Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and develop relationships with key customer/account stakeholders.
2. Evaluate and implement price strategy in line with market rates and budget aspiration.
3. Develop and communicate Sales and Estimating Team commercial strategy and focus.
4. Manage and motivate day to day performance of sales team and deliver reviews.
5. Hold regular team meetings and direct-report staff 1-2-1’s.
6. Monitor and review KPI’s for direct-reporting staff.
7. Coach and develop direct-reporting staff.
8. Identify, monitor and report on competitor and market trends.
9. Monitor sales team metrics and activities. Provide relevant monthly management information.
10. Create and develop project tracking, conversion and lost order data/report.
11. Self-development in understanding of business, industry and supply chain.
12. Work with the marketing team to develop case studies, campaign ideas and bulletin content.
13. Ensure correct use of KliCC (CRM System) and Strumis amongst direct-reporting staff.
14. Recruitment of any direct-reporting staff.
15. Work in conjunction with the Design team to enhance sales opportunities and reduce risk by providing an optimised solution.
16. Support the accounts teams in helping to reduce debtor days and improve NWC.
17. Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to ensure any disputes are resolved in a professional and timely fashion.
18. Work in close collaboration with all departments to gain 360 feedback, ensure excellent customer satisfaction and strive for continuous growth.
Essential
1. Industry Knowledge: Experience in the steel fabrication/construction industry.
2. Personality: Enthusiastic, self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on business performance. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives. Hardworking, persistent and dependable. Strong intrapersonal skills. Well-presented and businesslike. Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel for customer visits across the UK as needed.
