Oxfordshire Crossroads is seeking to employ a new Managing Director, based in Oxfordshire.

Reporting to the Chair of the Board, the Managing Director is accountable for the results of Oxfordshire Crossroads and is responsible for influencing and making key strategic decisions, upholding standards, acting in the best interests of the company to promote its success, and essentially ‘directing’ the company’s strategy and decision-making at high level.
The Managing Director will drive continuous improvement, building an effective senior management team based on a high performing culture of trust, professionalism and inclusion. They will ensure high-standard service delivery within timescales and budgets aligned with its mission and stakeholder needs.
Oxfordshire Crossroads employs approximately 100 staff, with offices in Oxford, Newbury and Windsor and has an annual turnover of £2m. This role offers a salary of £70-80k + benefits.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Set the strategic direction of the organisation, developing and implementing a vision focused on growth and service diversification. Identify and address strategic risks and opportunities.
* Operational and Financial management - Lead on financial planning and resource management and implement operational and organisational plans ensuring business plan execution and continuity. Oversee operational functions, recruitment, training and performance management of staff. Maintain financial oversight, sets budgets, develop income generation strategies and control expenditure, ensuring delivery within budgets and performance targets.
* Change management – Provide leadership to secure efficiencies through transformation, encourages innovation for service development and sustainable growth, and make informed organisational decisions in consultation with Trustees.
* Leadership and Stakeholder management - Inspire staff with a compelling vision linking strategy to individual responsibilities and build a model values-driven, high performing and inclusive culture and empower staff through delegation and development. Serve as principal ambassador for Crossroads Care through networking and public engagement, build relationships with partners to enhance reputation and brand. The Managing Director will maintain confidence of the Chair and respect of staff.
* Governance - Ensure robust governance with accountability to the Trustees, adhere to legal/regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate major risks and prioritise safeguarding through monitoring and training.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a senior management level.
* Demonstrable leadership capabilities: lead an organisation through change; build, inspire and develop a team with an excellent team ethic.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills; interpersonal, oral and written.
* Commercial awareness and financial acumen with the solid understanding of key performance indicators that impact and drive performance.
* The ability to interpret, analyse and synthesize data and information.
* Good IT skills, excellent knowledge of data management systems, and the collection of monitoring statistics.
* Organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively manage others to meet deadlines as well as work on own initiative.
* Experience of conflict management and ability to deal effectively with crises and emergencies.
* Ability to recognize and develop additional opportunities to develop the service.
* Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual service users, their family and professional colleagues.
* Positive attitude displaying resilience in the face of setbacks and challenges, with the ability to cope under pressure.
* Flexible approach to working hours with the ability to provide advice and guidance outside of normal office hours as required.
* Full driving license with the ability to travel to different locations nationally where required (predominantly Oxfordshire and West Berkshire).
* This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure under DBS.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Experience in a health and social care setting and commercial awareness of the health care sector.
* A knowledge and understanding of the current legislative social care framework and standards of service.
* Experience transforming and turning around organisations.
* Knowledge of the impact and demands of caring and wide range of issues it can raise.
* Understanding of how voluntary and statutory sectors operate.
* Day to day management of organizational financial services.
* Experience of Safeguarding processes.
* Use of own vehicle.
