Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and thriving school in Newport, Wales. Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with ALN and behavioural needs.
* Build trusting relationships with students, offering emotional and social support to promote their well-being.
* Work closely with the class teacher and other educational staff to contribute to a positive learning environment.
* Create a safe and inclusive space that fosters pupil development and growth.
* Adapt to different situations with flexibility, ensuring a supportive environment for all pupils.
Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS Certificate (we can assist you in obtaining this).
* Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
* Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
* Experience with ALN pupils is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants with personal experience or a strong willingness to develop their skills in supporting special educational needs.
