As an Engineering Administrator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be part of an experienced team and play a key role in the provision of administrative support to the Fleet Engineering Department. This is an opportunity to work within a large defence organisation with wider career development prospects throughout the business. Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for managing and providing administration support and act as the first point of contact for our Fleet Engineering Coordinators and Delivery Managers. You will also:
* Providing general administrative duties, including report writing, minute taking, filing, vessel access lists, visitor notifications, ordering supplies including contractor assistance
* Inputting timesheet data to labour booking portal. Assist Fleet Engineering getting capacity contractor timesheets in time
* The use of CONCUR and FCM systems for foreign and domestic travel bookings
* Maintaining the Section's information for both mandatory and role requirement training
* Ensuring all Section information boards are up to date on a daily and weekly basis as required
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Engineering Administrator
* Previous experience in an administrative role
* Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft package particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Great attention to detail, highly organised with great communication skills
* Knowledge of PowerBI/data management systems would be desirable
* Knowledge of Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software would be desirable
Qualifications for the Engineering Administrator
* HNC qualification in Business Administration or SVQ equivalent would be desirable
