We are seeking a talented 1st & 2nd Line Support Analyst to join our IT department, based at our Head Office in Milton Keynes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology. As an 1st & 2nd Line Support Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting internal users with 1st and 2nd line problems, in addition to maintaining and supporting existing IT systems and procedures including modifications and additions as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* 1st and 2nd IT support for all employees covering a range of technologies, including our Citrix Desktop estate
* Dealing with suppliers for all IT needs including hardware and software requirements, generating purchase orders, and ensuring invoices are matched
* Answering support calls, logging, and resolving any issues or passing them to the relevant member of the IT department, responding to queries on the phone, via email, and in-person in an effective and precise manner
* Basic Active Directory and Office 365 administration
* Desktop/laptop support, including deployment using SCCM
* Visiting our branch offices as required to perform hardware installations, office moves, re-locations, health checks, and audits. (This will involve the lifting and carrying of computer equipment.)
* Routine departmental duties
* Dealing efficiently and effectively with colleagues and third parties, and keeping accurate and complete records of the same
* Mobile device support (Windows Mobile, iPhone, etc.)
* Maintaining and controlling license levels
* Ensuring any other tasks requested by the Network team are completed efficiently and successfully
* Documenting current Company IT and Network procedures and systems
* Liaising with the Network team on all pertinent issues, generally through weekly update meetings, but more frequently if necessary
* Any other duties as required by the IT Manager
The successful candidate will have:
* Proven experience as an 1st & 2nd Line Support Analyst or in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and relevant technologies.
* Familiarity with various hardware and software configurations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
