We’re on the lookout for a talented Finance Business Analyst to join our team on an 18-month Fixed Term Contract.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of First Central by leading impactful change initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve our target states and business goals. From defining processes to analysing models and prioritising outcomes, you’ll bring your expertise in business modelling, process mapping, and analytical techniques to deliver results that make a difference.

What's involved:
* Strategy Formulation and Target States: Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategies, target states, and business outcomes.
* Business-State Analysis: Assess current and target business states using modelling and analytical techniques (e.g., process mapping, SWOT analysis, options analysis, statistical and database analysis) to identify and prioritise gaps.
* Analytical Expertise: Provide expert analysis to support stakeholders and SMEs in defining, documenting, and prioritising business outcomes, themes, and their associated benefits.
* Outcome Validation: Critically analyse business outcomes using various techniques, collaborating across teams to refine them into delivery-ready Epics.
* Portfolio Roadmap: Support the Head of Strategy Delivery and Change Finance in the creation and management of the Portfolio Roadmap.
* Priority Resolution: Facilitate discussions to resolve competing priorities within pillars, escalating issues where necessary to ensure alignment.
* Workshops and Presentations: Lead meetings, workshops, and presentations for diverse audiences, showcasing strong communication and influence.
* Stakeholder Relationships: Build close working relationships with Subject Matter Experts, Heads of Department, Project/Programme Managers, and Sponsors to drive informed decisions.
* Process Documentation: Document current processes to identify inefficiencies or gaps, and define 'to-be' processes to support effective change delivery.
* Process Improvement: Identify and prioritise opportunities to streamline business processes, enabling greater efficiency and effectiveness.
* Change Support: Assist in rolling out changes within the business pillars, ensuring smooth adoption and implementation.
* Standards and Best Practices: Contribute to developing and maintaining standards for the Business Analysis Community of Practice, ensuring adherence to best practices in an agile environment.
* Compliance: Act in accordance with the Group Code of Conduct, Fitness and Propriety policies, and other Company guidelines, ensuring compliance at all times.
* Additional Duties: Perform any other reasonable duties required to support the team and organisational goals.
Experience, knowledge, skills & qualifications:
* Business Understanding: Quickly grasp the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a business area to deliver impactful solutions.
* Problem Solving and Influencing: Exhibit strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive change and achieve outcomes.
* Analytical Expertise: Demonstrate advanced analytical and conceptual skills to develop original concepts, theories, and solutions for diverse initiatives.
* Business Analysis Knowledge: Possess a comprehensive understanding of Business Analysis and Change Management tools and techniques, including the analysis of business models, capabilities, value streams, processes, and organisational structures.
* Process and Integration Knowledge: Bring knowledge of business process management, workflow, and integration methods and tools.
* Agile Framework Experience: Proven ability to apply business analysis within iterative and Agile change frameworks, balancing structure with flexibility.
* Industry Background: Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is preferred, but other industries will also be considered.
* Change Facilitation: Skilled in facilitating change within a business unit, including defining/re-engineering processes and developing new services or products.
* Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of FCA requirements, including Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
* Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, and experienced in statistical and data analysis.
* Finance Acumen: Understanding of finance processes and terminology is preferred, with the ability to drive process improvements through data analysis.
* Workshop Facilitation: Strong skills in organising and leading workshops and meetings with diverse stakeholders.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience building relationships with and managing internal and external stakeholders effectively.
* Elicitation Techniques: Adept at selecting and executing various elicitation techniques, such as interviews, prototypes, workshops, surveys, and process re-engineering.
* Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
* Certifications: Business Analysis and/or Business Architecture certification or formal qualification is preferred.
