About the role
Duration & Goal: INSPIRED is a 3-year UK funded programme that will improve the quality of Early Childhood Education (ECE) and foundational learning skills for 200,000 Kenyan children, including 100,000 of the most marginalized in Wajir and Mandera Counties.
Delivery & Technical Partners: INSPIRED will be delivered by Education Development Trust (EDT) alongside partners Agakhan Foundation (AKF), Sight Savers, Wajir Peace & Development Agency (WPDA), and Voice of Peace for All (VOPA).
Programme Components: INSPIRED will be delivered through the following 3 main components to achieve quality, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable impact across the board:
1. C1: Support Presidential Working Party on Education Reforms (PWPER) around foundational learning
2. C2: Deliver strong evidence-based Early Childhood Education (ECE) models in Wajir and Mandera for existing government-funded ECE centres
3. C3: Generate robust evidence on effective strategies for delivering ECE to influence policy and practice.
We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Coordinator to provide technical expertise on ECE, with the responsibility to ensure the quality of programme outputs reflect international best practices in ECE tailored for the local context. The Coordinator will work with partners to deliver programme outcomes, including overseeing the quality of the end-to-end design and creation of the training, teaching, and instructional resources for the Inspired programme, as well as the content and metrics of national-level policies.
