We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the Financial Services Team as Assistant Accountant Treasury and Control, working closely with other areas of the Health Board’s Finance function, Hospital General Offices and partner organisations.
The successful candidate must hold NVQ Level, be an AAT Member or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
The role requires someone who understands the requirements of treasury and control compliance and the financial context in which the NHS in Wales operates.

Main duties of the job
To provide full direct and indirect treasury and control support to the Head of Financial Control.
To provide comprehensive day to day treasury and control advice and support relevant persons within the Health Board.
To ensure that all treasury and control deadlines of the Health Board are met to maximise cash flow benefits and avoid errors and penalties.
To keep abreast of current developments relating to treasury and control issues and to ensure that appropriate staff are kept informed.
To continuously review and monitor the adequacy of systems, procedures and other relevant records to ensure compliance with treasury and control regulations.
To prepare monthly reports on the activities within treasury and control with particular reference to the benefits generated.
