Job: Maintenance Engineer
We are looking to recruit a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Stroud with enthuses on preventative maintenance. The role involves working a rolling 3 shift pattern and the hours are listed.
The position reports to the Engineering and Project Manager. Holidays are 23 days per annum with an option to purchase up to five extra (at management discretion), Bank holidays are additional to this but on occasion you may be asked to work a Bank Holiday for which you will given an extra day at a later date. Salary is £38,850pa with 10% shift allowance making a salary of £42,735pa
There is an optional pension scheme to which the company will match personal contributions up to a max of 5%, you can choose to contribute more if you wish.
The role is focussed around ensuring that the line downtime is kept to a minimum through proactive planned preventative maintenance and prompt response to any issues that do arise as a result the role requires someone who is adaptable and able to problem solve in a sometimes-pressured environment.
Earlies - Monday to Thursday 05.45 – 14.15 (10% shift upload)
Days – Monday to Thursday 07.30 – 16.00 (10% shift upload)
Lates – Monday to Thursday 13.45 – 22.15 (10% shift upload)
Responsibilities:
• Fault finding on electrical systems
• Knowledge of PLCs
• Carrying out routine PPMs – lubrication, changing seals, meter readings, replacing worn bearings, conveyor components etc
• Computer literate – excel/word
• Experience of a CMMS and stores stock system
• Mechanical and pneumatic fault finding
• Diagnosing faults with 3ph electric motors and pumps
• Some basic electrical knowledge/fault finding experience
Requirements:
• Will be someone who is adaptable, able to work unsupervised and capable of prioritising their own workload. Working as a part of a small team is essential as is dedication to safety and quality.
