We currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated, proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. The role will be 20 hours a week, and can be worked around school hours, so ideal for working parents. You will either be AAT qualified or qualified by experience.
You will be reporting directly to the Finance Director and will be managing a finance assistant.
Key responsibilities:
1. Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review and submission
2. Reconcile and monitor bank accounts and credit card expenses
3. Manage credit control and ensure invoices are issued in a timely manner
4. Prepare fortnightly supplier payments
5. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including cash in transit, stock and intercompany
6. Support with annual budget and quarterly forecasts
7. Ensure all month-end transactions are accurately recorded and complete
8. Creditors reconciliation and dealing with supplier queries
9. Ensure all invoice and expense approvals are done on time
10. Analyse and resolve discrepancies in financial records
11. KPI reporting, including sales, weekly P&Ls, GP Margins
12. Manage 1 member of junior finance staff, including weekly 1-2-1 meetings, appraisals and training
