Finance Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager who will be joining a Solihull based company that offers and installs a comprehensive outdoor surfacing solutions to a wide range of clients including local authorities, residential and commercial developers, nurseries and schools.
Working closely with the CEO and as part of the Senior Management Team you will have a varied role that will include:
* Controlling financial systems to ensure accurate recording of income and costs.
* As part of the senior management team working closely with the CEO and Directors assisting with the day-to-day management of the business helping to both develop and implement strategic plans.
* Supporting budget preparation including tracking monthly performance against budgets.
* Completing daily bank reconciliations.
* Processing weekly pay runs.
* Supporting system improvements across the business including purchasing controls.
* Completing quarterly VAT returns.
* Responding to both customer and supplier queries.
* Debt chasing.
* Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliation including prepayments, accruals and salary postings.
* Preparing management accounts.
* Collating and forwarding payroll information.
* Ensuring all sales invoices are processed and meet any customer cut off deadlines.
* Completing monthly CIS returns and CIS balance sheet account reconciliations.
* Managing international orders and payment of the import loans to ensure they are correctly tracked and forecasted for cashflow.
* Being responsible for business insurance (renewals, claims and queries).
* Being the subject expert to support and reply to business and office queries.
* Maintaining an up-to-date cashflow forecast which matches current bank balances and forward forecasts of expected cash receipts and payments.
* Assisting in the procurement, establishment and setting up an ERP system.
Requirements
To be considered as the Finance Manager you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years finance experience with at least two years in a leadership or managerial role.
* To be a commercially focused Finance Manager.
* Experience of driving process improvements within a finance function.
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical and numerical skills.
* Sound business knowledge.
* Experience of adapting to the challenges of a growing business and the processes required.
* Experience of QuickBooks would be useful.
