Lineside Support Operative (FTC)
Location: Scarborough
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lineside Support Operative to join the team at our Scarborough site. Your primary duties will involve ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely receipt, acknowledgement, and supply of all parts, components, and materials to the production line. A valid counterbalance Forklift Truck License, picker license and/or class 1 HGV driving license would be preferred for this role, but not essential.

Your Dream Role
We need a Lineside support operative to assist with the smooth receipt, delivery and movement of parts, components, and materials to lineside in a safe & timely manner whilst adopting, demonstrating & endorsing ADL core Vision & Values.
Main Responsibilities:
16. To prioritize supplying materials to the production line
17. To check and maintain stock control
18. To update MRP (Syspro) systems promptly
19. To compile weekly 'Pick Lists'
20. To identify and report shortages to the appropriate stakeholders as needed, and to ensure corrective actions are taken
21. To report any damaged components and submit DMR's as required
22. To report and dispose of any obsolete items as necessary
23. To organize, arrange, label, and maintain line-side racking
24. To handle external carriers/couriers as necessary
25. To maintain cleanliness in the assigned work area, including racking, walkways, waste disposal, and spill clearance both inside and outside of buildings
26. To conduct daily end-of-shift inspections of the work area
27. To always operate forklift trucks and material handling equipment safely and ensure that floor space and walkways are consistently kept safe
28. To adhere to the daily forklift truck inspection procedure
29. To ensure timely return of reusable stillages
30. To be responsible for the safe disposal and/or recycling of packaging
31. To provide support to the Manufacturing and Supply Chain team as needed
32. To work across a range of product lines and with outsourcing partners
33. To assist with cycle counting processes
34. Perform any other duties as required
What you will bring
35. Proven experience of working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment
36. Possession of a valid counterbalance Forklift Truck License, demonstrating a high level of competence in operating forklift trucks
37. Proficiency in handling and driving delivery buggies, with a strong focus on safety and precision
38. Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration within the team
39. Ability to promptly and professionally handle and respond to requests from both internal and external customers
40. Fully computer literate, including a solid understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
