The Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach A-Level for the right candidate. You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons, ensuring all students have the opportunity to reach their full potential. You will work as part of a collaborative and supportive Science department, contributing to the ongoing development of the curriculum and enrichment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support as needed.
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independent learning.
Collaborate with colleagues within the Science department to enhance teaching practices and resources.
Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide events, and extracurricular activities.
Support the development of students' scientific knowledge and practical skills through experiments, demonstrations, and field trips.The Person:
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Holds a degree in Science or a related subject.
Has experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4; A-Level teaching experience is desirable.
Demonstrates demonstrable experience of improving student outcomes.
Has a strong understanding of innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the OFSTED Framework.
Demonstrates demonstrable experience of high-quality teaching and learning.
Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
Has strong communication skills and can work effectively as part of a team.
Is committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
