Job overview
No direct experience is necessary, as full training will be provided; however, knowledge of working in a healthcare setting would be an advantage. You will need to have a willingness to learn with excellent communication skills. Basic IT skills will be advantageous.
Main duties of the job
* Responsible for assisting the qualified nursing team with setting up of the clinical area.
* Looking after patients pre and post procedure and reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
* Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team to maintain high levels of patient care and dignity.
* Contribute to clerical duties when required.
* Contribute to cleaning and housekeeping within the department.
* Ensure stock is available as required.

* Have recognised qualifications in Maths and English at Grade 3-2 (GCSE grade D-E, Functional Skills Level 1).
* To work a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
* Willingness to undertake and complete the apprenticeship course within 18 months.
* Ability to communicate with members of the public and colleagues.
* Presents self as courteous, respectful and helpful.
* Ability to work effectively under direct supervision, as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
* Basic IT skills.
* GCSEs in English and Maths at Grades 9-4 (or A*-C or Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
* Understanding of confidentiality issues.

* Ability to carry out routine elements of assessment to enhance the patient journey, following an initial assessment by a Registered Practitioner.
