Brief Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to manage and support the TRU Safety Programme within a progressive Health, Safety, Wellbeing, and Security function. This exciting role offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the success of the programme and drive improvements in health, safety, and wellbeing across the organisation.
In this role, you will be responsible for the insourcing and daily management of the TRUST programme (TRU safety programme), ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of TUP’s safety initiatives. You will lead key Health, Safety, and Wellbeing projects, contribute to data analysis and programme improvements, and support minor procurement activities. You will also work closely with core leads, gaining exposure to the executive leadership team and playing a key part in shaping the strategic direction of the programme.
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, you will be at the forefront of driving and delivering the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing strategy for the TRU programme. Your efforts will help reinforce our commitment to safety and wellbeing, supporting a culture where safety is always the top priority.

About the role (External)
Some of the Key Accountabilities of the role:
1.Accountable for the efficient management and operation of the TRUST centre (Huddersfield)
2.Deliver analysis, insights, and comprehensive executive-level reports on the performance of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing metrics
3.Agree remit and success criteria of improvement projects with the relevant Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors.
4.Manage the development and delivery of a programme of improvement projects in compliance with company processes and procedures.
5.Manage the production of project management plans for change projects.
6.Act as project sponsor when required.
7.Establish and manage collaborative cross-functional virtual teams to deliver improvement projects, where appropriate.
8.Deliver regular progress reports on a programme of improvement projects, including relevant risks and issues, to Executive Sponsors and Functional Directors.
9.Manage project budgets within agreed targets.
10.Promote and monitor the use of efficiency improvement methods.
11.Disseminate lessons learnt.
We need you to have:
·Relevant experience in the successful management of major and complex change programmes.
·Experience of applying programme / project methodologies
·Commercial and financial awareness.
It would be advantageous if you have:
·Educated to degree level.
·Member of project association
·Knowledge of the principles of investment processes and procedures.
·Knowledge of/experience in the UK rail industry.
